Our Story

Along with the many joys that come with learning you will be a grandparent for the first time comes the question of ‘what do you want the baby to call you?’ Lewis wanted his grandchildren to have the freedom to come up with their own name for him.  Being the jokester that he is, Lewis enjoyed making silly faces and character voices to entertain his first grandson even before he learned to talk.  While traveling, Lewis bought a toddler camping chair with a logo on it from a well-known travel stop in Texas and presented it to his grandson using a silly voice matching the character on the chair.  It was inevitable, his grandson began to call him, “Bucky”.  Near the same time, the restoration of the 1954 GMC Lewis inherited from his dad was complete and Lewis wasn’t the only one excited about it!  It soon became known as “Bucky’s Truck”!

Shortly after, Lewis had a milestone birthday.   For that  birthday, his sister gifted him with a three-generation photo with Bucky’s Truck and his dad’s 1974 Ford F100 that his son now owns.  Lewis’ dad had taken him and his sister to see 48 states throughout the 70s and 80s in  the  Ford truck.  So, it was almost like four generations in the photo!

The family decided to share the joy of special heirloom photos by giving other families the opportunity to have spontaneous fun mini sessions and generational keepsake photos using these special trucks as characters/props.  So, Bucky’s Truck as a prop service for photographers, business promotion, and special occasions was born.
